Emmanuel Sohaya

Chairperson and Managing Director

Mr Emmanuel Sohaya is founder trustee of Greater Involvement in Missions, a business and social economic development institution founded in 2007. Mr Sohaya has been development practitioner since 2006 having worked as Head of Development Planning in Malawi Government at District Council level in councils such as Nkhatabay, Mchinji, Karonga and Dedza District Council. Emmanuel Sohaya is skilled in Organisational Developmet, Results Management and Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation. He is current the Chairperson and Managing Director of GIM Microfinance.

Mwizapanyuma Simkonda

Risk and Compliance Expert. Director

Mr Mwiza Simkonda is one of the founder trustee of the Greater Involvement in Missions. He is an expert in Monitoring and Evaluation. He has worked in major USAID Funded projects such as WALA and has been involved in setting up the M&E systems for over 7 major USAID funded projects over a period of 11 years. He is currently working as Managing Consultant for Zero Gravity Consulting Firm and Director and Owner of Bacron Finance Limited an investment company based in Lilongwe Malawi.

Elija Gondwe

Accountant & Lending Expert- Finance Director

Mr Elija Gondwe is Managing Director for Accounts Assist Consultancy Firm. He has previously working for CUMO Microfinance as Accountant for over 10 years managing Donor Projects and assisting in much needed accountability. He is now working for LUANAR as Accountant. He comes to the Board as Finance Director with much more experience in Budgets and Costing, internal auditing, compliance and risk management, Tax and Taxation expertise.

Lucius Kasakala

Marketing and Finance AzTeC Norway. Director

Mr Lucius Kasakala is a Banker and Microfinance Expert having accumulated over 15 years of experience in micro financing and banking. Mr Kasakala has risen through the ranks as a field facilitator at MicroLoan Foundation and later OIBM where he rose Head of Business- microfinance. Mr Kasakala is now working with MyBucks as Business Manager- SME.

Cassius Chidothe

Legal Director

Mr Cassius Omar Chidothe is a legal practitioner and commercial lawyer, currently based in Blantyre. He holds Bachelor of Laws (Hons) Degree obtained from Chancellor College, obtained in 2005. He has over 15 years in legal practice as a litigation lwayer. Mr Cassius Omar Chidothe is currently pursuing Master in Commercial at University, Chancellor College. Mr Chithode is Principal Partner of the legal firm, Chidothe and Chidothe & Company. He is also a part-time law lecturer at Malawi Polytechnic, teaching banking law and commercial practice.

Joe Mfune

Development Expert

Mr Joe Mfune is a retired civil servant who has worked for fisheries for over 26 years. He retired as a Chief Fisheries officer in 2016. Mr Joe Mfune is a trained fisheries extension professional with Master of Science, Agricultural Extension Systems Management obtained in 2001 at University of Reading, United Kingdom. In the course of his job, Mr Joe Mfune has accumulated of 9 Certificates from local and international short courses ranging from Participatory Planning, Fisheries Development Programming, to Skills of Fisheries Sector Control and Support.

Asili Chinombo

Human Resources Expert, Director

Mrs Asili Hope Chinombo whose full name is Mrs Asili Hope Chinombo Katenga Kaunda is a career human resource practitioner who hold a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and currently working Dedza District Council. Having left Mary Mount Secondary School, in 2004, with the Malawi School Certificate, Asili went to study Advanced Diploma in Human Resources management at Mpemba Staff Development Institute (SDI) between 2007- 2008.After finishing Diploma, Asili Chinombo joined civil service as Assistant Human Resource Management Officer at Ministry of Agriculture.
